Machfu develops solutions that are good for the climate and good for business.
We help industrial operators comply with regulations and meet their ESG goals. For example, our methane monitoring solution addresses a potent greenhouse gas that plays an outsized role in near term climate change. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) said in its latest report that limiting warming to a degree that secures a livable future will require reducing methane emissions by about a third by 2030. The good news is that methane emissions from oil and gas systems, which represent about 31% of all methane emissions, are both measurable and easily mitigated when detected.

Prakash Chakravarthi

CEO

Prakash provides the vision and leadership to help Machfu simplify connectivity from edge to enterprise. Prior to founding Machfu, Prakash founded multiple IoT and M2M businesses, including Eka Systems, a smart grid connectivity company that was acquired by Cooper Industries. His strong business and technical background enable him to uniquely build technically diverse and execution-oriented teams with deep expertise to rapidly and effectively define, create, and deliver solutions and products in the evolving IoT space. Prakash has a Ph.D. in Communication Systems from Syracuse University and an Executive MBA from MIT.

Tim Winter

CTO

Tim is the architect of the Machfu device platform. He has over 20 years of experience in the IoT and M2M space developing strategy and architecture to realize wireless networking platforms. He has experience in IP networking, protocol stacks, embedded Linux, and Android. As a network architect at Eka Systems, he guided the development teams in an Agile environment. In a consulting role at Captiva, he led the implementation of end-to-end embedded communication systems for GE, AT&T, and Mueller Water using cellular and private wireless technologies. Tim has a bachelors degree in Computer Engineering from Pennsylvania State University.

Shane Persad

V.P. IoT Services

Shane Persad has held senior corporate positions with both public and private companies in the Oil and Gas sector. He has expertise from start up, development and scaling straight through to company sale and transition of ownership.

He has over 20 years of experience in Engineering, Operations, and Executive roles in the Energy Industry. He holds degrees in Mechanical as well as Petroleum Engineering and over the years he has worked in various countries in both Land and Offshore environments. He has extensive experience in the areas of Drilling, Completions and Well Intervention Services.

Chinmay Shete

V.P. Engineering

Chinmay Shete is Vice President of Engineering at Machfu Inc. He is an accomplished professional with deep experience and specialization in Industrial IoT solutions. He has spent many years developing cloud services as well as firmware for field devices. He has successfully leveraged his expertise in cloud computing and worked with major cloud service providers like AWS, Azure, and GCP to deliver cutting-edge products that enable clients to achieve their business objectives.

Chinmay is a skilled communicator who is able to translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise language for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. He is passionate about using the cloud to solve complex problems to deliver innovative solutions. His leadership skills, have enabled him to lead successful engineering teams and drive new product development.

Jai Dialani

Director of Products

Jai leads product strategy and customer management at Machfu. Prior to Machfu, he held various product leadership roles in IoT, Telecommunications and Satellite Companies, leading  industrial, land mobile, aerospace, cloud-based IOT platforms and fleet management product portfolios. He is a serial entrepreneur and has successfully exited IoT-based startups. Jai has a Master’s degree in wireless telecommunications and Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.

M.B. Anand

Product Architect

Anand is the product architect at Machfu, bringing 20+ years of M2M and IoT experience. He is responsible for product strategy and product realization of the Machfu platform, enabling a large developer community and making the hyper-growth vision of IoT possible. Prior to Machfu, he was VP of engineering at Captiva where he provided consulting and contract engineering services for networks and embedded software/hardware implementations for Fortune 500 clients. He co-founded Eka Systems and was responsible for technology development and the engineering organization. He started his career with Toshiba Corporation in Japan and won multiple innovation awards for his work in semiconductors. Anand has a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Waseda University in Japan.
